Liars.

So much for "break & chip resistant."

Odd thing is I'd just placed it on the dish rack and when I turned to wash the others,
I heard a "crack!" and a "crash!" The bottom of the bowl had had enough it seems.

  1. Oooo, that is SO not cool! You should complain to the company, maybe they'll send you a replacement!

  2. Amazing. I've had Corelle for many years and have never had a problem. My guess is that one had a "flaw" and I'll bet they will replace it without question.

  4. Hey...just write the company and they usually replace for free!

  5. That's odd. The only time I had a Corelle break is when one slipped out of my hands, fell to the floor and landed on its edge. I think Deanna might be right about the flaw. Couldn't hurt to ask the company if they'll replace it.

  6. Couldn't hurt to try to see if they'll replace it. The worst that can happen is they say no.

  7. I'd agree that it's a manufacturing defect. My mom's had Corelle for at least 25 years and her set's pretty much still intact!

  10. Maybe its all that hot salsa sauce... if you do write to the manufactuer, you might wanna omit that detail... :)

Seriously, I wouldn't know corelle from paper plates.

The runway-proof dishes can be taken out by a simple washing? Jeez. (I had a really rude comment about my inlaws that was going to go HERE but I stopped myself...They're very messy people...*AHEM*)

Thanks for stopping by the blog!

  12. Bummer! I've broken so many plates just in my clumsy-ness. I'd be so mad if they just broke on their own.

  15. My dad just retired from Corning Glassworks and if you mail it to them (even a piece) they will mail you a new one. Good luck!
