The Last Lecture: Childhood Dreams
The act of dreaming big dreams and achieving those dreamt up as a child was important to Randy. And not just fulfilling your dreams, but also helping others realize theirs as well. How many dreams have you been able to achieve? Have you helped others fulfill theirs? And why are dreams so important to have?

I think without dreams, life would be pretty worthless. If you don't have any then what are you working towards? What makes you get up in the morning? Having something to look forward to or work towards makes each day a lot easier to get through.
ReplyDeleteBut on the flip side it's important to enjoy each step of the journey there. Otherwise you're going to accomplish something and not have enjoyed the work it took to get there.
I've been able to achieve my dream of wanting to write. Obviously, I still have much more to do, but I like the fact that I got my foot in the door a year ago and have done quite a bit since. So look out world!
As far as helping others achieve their dreams, I think I still need to work on that. I do help out if I'm ever needed so maybe I've helped someone in some tiny way and don't know it, but I'll be looking out from now on to lend a helping hand if I can.
And I like how the Quote of the Day turned out to be:
ReplyDelete"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." ~Eleanor Roosevelt
How appropriate!
