There's Just Something About Music

I don't know why I don't use my iPod more often. Every single time I pop in those headphones when I'm walking down the street I'm reminded of the 2005 Cingular Wireless "Alter Ego Girl" commercial because that's me all the way: sane on the outside and dancing up a storm on the inside. I bop along and walk to the beat, but it takes every bit of strength to keep myself from busting out into song and dance. It's the greatest feeling in the world and for the past two days I've been enjoying every minute of my inner rock concert.

  5. It's normal to see people wearing headphones while walking, metro-ing, etc. But I can't seem to do that. I like to be able to hear what's around me. I like to eavesdrop. :)

  6. heidi, man you should've seen me on my walk home from the 1 train last night. Swinging my bag and lip syncing to Whitney Houston. You better believe I took advantage when there was no one else around.

dama, you know today I was kinda happy it was raining? Because that meant no one could see my covered face as I sang to Shakira under my umbrella :)

anonymous, wow. I'm honestly not surprised with that one. How are those classes going by the way?

    dariany, even the pole dancing?!

P.S. to you guys: Aww, the original Dry as Toast commenters :)

sugarlens, I remember back when they iPod first started coming out, I'd get annoyed at the amount of people who'd have those little white headphones. I didn't get one of my own til a couple years ago, but even then I'm paranoid and always checking the volume to make sure you can't hear a sound. I don't want to be one of *those* people I glare at in the train.

And really, I prefer to use my commute to read and write. I use my iPod maybe two/three times in two months or so.

  7. Snap! I took the wrong train this morning.

There was another ad on TV not that long ago that had a dancing woman that transformed into a cutout - maybe it was even for an iPod... the ad didn't work to well on me - I only remember the dancing woman and not the product.

Nice to see you wanting to dance Dorkys!
