The International Federation of the Red Cross reports that over three million people have been affected by the earthquake that struck Tuesday (and it's still much too early to even estimate the death toll). With the country's infrastructure devastated by the disaster, contributing money instead of supplies would be the best bet. Here's how to aid in the relief efforts.

The whole situation there is so very sad. It is bad enough when something like that happens to a country that has resources to start recovery right away. It is even worse when they have to wait days for help.

I actually donated to the Red Cross emergency relief fund earlier today; it's nice to be able to use the Christmas bonus to help people who need it!

ReplyDeleteI think it's amazing that the Red Cross has already taken in over $5 million via $10 text donations.
