Halfway through the thing, Word crashed and I lost everything because there was nothing to recover. Fun times! (No, not really.)
See why I'm still a pen-and-paper girl? Because technology blows. Luckily, I'd handwritten a portion of it in my notebook, but, oy vey, I don't know how I didn't break my computer then and there. I ended up typing it out in an e-mail to myself. Ghet-to.
Anywho, I'm using today to chillax...and maybe finally install this new hard drive onto my PC. I'll be back ahorita.
And how are you fools doing?
P.S. I might start tweeting soon...
Lovely lovely laptops!!! They can be so uhm,,... but pen and paper? Really,..? Peeps, except for the old school police officers, are still doing them?
ReplyDeleteHope you get it sorted out soon!!
Believe it, woman! And thank God I do.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to rewrite your article and send it in! I am also an old-fashioned pen and paper gal. Typing just isn't the same!
ReplyDelete"Ghet-to."
ReplyDeleteAnd you don't even NEED me to provoke you anymore! That my Dominican friend is called indoctrination. Eat it.
Also, sucks to be you, I'm sorry. I've had the laptop fail on me before (dark days pre Mac) and I know full well the exasperation that ensues.
In addition I'm coming around to Twitter as well! I mock it, but it's so bloody easy to use, if I somehow get a SmartPhone I have the distinct feeling I'll be on Twitter like white on rice (nice bit of self-racism there for your benefit.)
Stephen, dear, what makes you think I didn't put that one in just for you? Because I totally did, fool.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've stayed hatin on Twitter and now look...As for the smartphone thing, I've yet to jump on that bandwagon myself. Let's see how long I can hold out.
Oh, please do start tweeting. It's not as bad as you think. I hated it for the LONGEST time, downright refused to go on. But then I thought I'd give it a try, and I like that I get to know some cool bloggers a bit better. I like that my boyfriend reads it and learns about little pieces of my day I might not normally mention. You only have to do it as much as you want, you don't have to do it at all, but I think it's always good to try new things. Sometimes they surprise you.
ReplyDeletetweeting? i refuse to sign up for that. that will be one more password i will have to remember
ReplyDeleteWhen you say you've been reduced to pencil and paper, then I'll worry.
ReplyDeleteMiserable! I hate computer problems. Love computers, but I'm still on the fence over this whole idea that technology makes life easier.
ReplyDeleteTwit-ter! Twit-ter! Twit-ter!
Don't do it! The tweeting, that is!!! Noooo!
ReplyDeleteI'm a pen and paper/outline kind of gal myself. Not surprising, however, since I am old.
I try so hard to get into Tweeting, but it never really works. Do you really need something else to continuously update :P
ReplyDeleteSorry about your computer, lady.
Computers suck! Glad you had enough to be able to re-write it and turn it in, though.
ReplyDeleteI refuse to tweet or text.
I am so scared about my laptop dying on me! I'm so paranoid and protective that I even put multiple layerz of saran wrap over the keyboard when I go out, just in case sumfing would spill on it. Weird?! Probblez!
ReplyDeleteP to da S...GET A TWITTER AND FOLLOW ME! TANX!
I'm glad you got the deadline beat.
ReplyDeleteNow to get the 'puters fixed and to tweat - just spelled it that way to make it rhyme(y). :)
I HATE when that happens!
ReplyDeleteI have a twitter account, but don't use it often...hope to improve soon. But do people really care to hear a play by play on my boring days?
Ohhhhhhhhh no. That's awful. At least you had some back up!!
ReplyDeleteKeep posting stuff like this i really like it
ReplyDeleteYou are not right. I can prove it. Write to me in PM, we will communicate.
