ReplyDeleteI didn't have any plans made, but we've made plans. :) I decided Friday evening that we'd go get the kids pictures taken Saturday morning and then we'd be spontaneous. Spontaneous ended up in a drive to my college town/family town, walking around campus and playing in the fountain, and then going to my Granny's for a swim. Back home now watching TV and relaxing. Tomorrow, TO gets to have a friend over to play for a couple hours and then to my dad's to hang. Our "no plans" always turn into "full plans".

Well yesterday evening A. called me on his way home from work. He felt like being spontaneous and asked me to get dressed up so we could have a Friday night outing. I go over, we check the weather, and take along our umbrellas because rain was forecasted for after 11 PM.
ReplyDeleteWe step outside and it's already raining a bit. We keep walking along. Then about a block away, the sky just opens up and it's starts pouring like crazy. We're getting wet, but we're determined to go out. A few more feet later, we're just unbelievably drenched, the downpour is going every which way and we can barely keep our umbrellas upright.
We decided to turn back around. Only got a block away and we were soaked. It was pretty hilarious though. And I have to add that's my fourth time getting drenched in the rain this summer. I warned him I had no luck with rain these days.
This morning we got up pretty early, went out for a run, ate at a diner, walked around, I took him home to hang out, we walked Toby to the park and then headed back out. It's been blazing hot this weekend so we're just trying to keep things cool and low-key.

Nothing too terribly exciting happening around these parts. I hope California is nice for you. It's been kind of a cold summer here in Northern CA so maybe it'll be a relief from the heat!
