Buying organic foods can get a bit pricey sometimes so wouldn't it be nice to know which foods you'd be better off buying organic and which ones are safe as they are? Well this clever cheat sheet on My Paper Crane can help you determine which fruits and veggies are showered in pesticide residue when you're out grocery shopping...so you don't have to be suspicious about everything in the produce aisle.

Wouldn't it vary though? I mean, just because - for example - one farmer doesn't use pestisides on his carrots, doesn't mean another doesn't. And you can't always guarantee that the carrots came from the same place, can you? Not unless you intend looking in to the travels of each little carrot.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I always forget which ones hold the pesticides better.
ReplyDeleteGood to know! Thanks for the heads up.

I'm with Tooj on this one. :-) But the cheat sheet is really kind of cute. Maybe I should take one to the store and see if some hot babe notices me with it...
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking some of the products on the left soak up more chemicals too, especially strawberries. Great little cheat sheet!
ReplyDeleteI love it! So cute, too.
ReplyDeleteToriz, the list is not to show which produce were grown with pesticides (because they pretty much all are), but rather which ones have the lowest and highest pesticide residue after peeling and washing. Hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Maybe this will encourage The Boy to help buy (and eat!) veggies with me if he feels sorry for the crying ones ;-)
ReplyDeleteI need this! I'm heading out to the grocery store right now.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from SITS!
I was just thinking yesterday how handy something like this would be. I was out shopping and trying to remember which to buy organic and which I could get away with regular on. I need one of these for sure.
ReplyDeleteGood to know! Thanks for the heads up.
