And that's as much as I'll say about this fake holiday. At least I had the day off (and I hope those of you who did enjoyed your long weekends). Feel free to read what I had to say about Columbus three months ago :)
Back to work tomorrow, boo!
So did you guys do anything fun? Please tell me you didn't waste it like I did by being a total bum...though it wasn't completely bad.

Just spent too much money on professional pictures for the boys....but I suppose they were worth it. They're kinda cute. So not totally wasted...but also not as cheap as it could have been had I kept my arse at home!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad someone else sees this as a fake holiday...it angers me that Columbus gets his own day but George Washington has to share his. PISH!
ReplyDeletetotally wasted weekend boo!
ReplyDeleteit looks like I jumpstarted your fallowers.. :) hehe.
columbus day? bah
tooj- ooh, professional pics are always fun. Were they good little models? I give much kudos to child photographers :)
ReplyDeletecolby- So true! It's ridic. If Washington had his own day we'd get yet another day off!
franco- Yup, you totally jumpstarted it!! Thanks so much for being the first one :)
Being Canadian, I don't know much about Columbus Day (it's Thanksgiving here), but I just wanted to thank you for stopping by my blog and welcoming me! I wasn't expecting that! :o)
ReplyDeleteOooooh, so THAT'S why you mentioned Thanksgiving in your post. I'm like, "Thanksgiving?!? Getting a little ahead of ourselves now aren't we?" Whoopsie! Hope you had a good one :)
ReplyDeletei did a lot of errands today and finished a write-up for work (i know, i'm not supposed to be doing work on a holiday! ugh). then i spent the rest browsing the internet. oh, and eating a lot of crap.
ReplyDeleteWell, we went out to a dance bar.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't know about this day, but hey - I agree to share the holidays(:
I have that book on my shelf! Ok, I'm reading that next!
ReplyDeleteWell, as you already know, I saw stars! =]
ReplyDeleteLucky duck, I "worked" yesterday.
Odessa- yes, shame on you for actually doing work (and in turn making me feel even guiltier for not doing a lick of it)! and you say internet surfing and eating crap like it's a bad thing...that's practically my life :p
ReplyDeleteNatalie- hi! and dance bar sounds fun! we should totally share holidays...as in we get off work for international ones too. I'm sure that'll promote global unity, no?
Merc- Ooh! Def read the book. Horwitz is all sorts of hilarious in his encounters around the "New World." I can't wait to hear what you thought about it. And I'll be checking around your blog too ;)
Sugar- Haha, yes you saw "stars," and totally faked me out. I'm sorry to hear you had to schlep into work though, boooo!
