Strike a Pose

Now we all know I don't like fashion and this issue of Vogue Italia's Black Issue came out way back in the summer, but yesterday my co-worker was finally able to get her hands on several copies (for her friends, for herself, and one to keep in the plastic wrap for posterity, etc) after calling around to see which newstands still had them in stock. All in all, the photos inside are amazing and I laughed at how conservative our culture is compared to Europes's (there were some boobs showing in there). Plus, the July issue sold out in the U.S. and the U.K. so quickly that they had to reprint it - a total first for them! Maybe now the industry will see that we don't all like vanilla All The Time - many of us would like a little chocolate too!

Oh, and I wanted an excuse to post these four stunning covers featuring Liya Kebede, Sessilee Lopez, Jourdan Dunn and Naomi Campbell:

  4. i actually got my hands on one of these a while back. half of the photos are borderline porno...hysterical. nevertheless, it's VOGUE and it's always fantastic.

  5. Haha, yes the pics inside were pretty racy and still that classifies as quality fashion photography for a mainstream woman's mag. Here it'd prob be banned to the adult section.

My co-worker told me they were selling for over $100 bucks on e-bay! So naturally, I told her to sell those puppies online.
