I didn't buy too much this year, either. But I never let myself buy Christmas presents with credit cards anyway. I set a budget and pay cash for everything. Keeps me from going overboard.
ReplyDeleteI barely had any money to buy anything with... I did send people "real" cards snail mail... to show that I was thinking about them this holiday - it didn't seem like much or very satisfying until I sat back and realized I did the best I could.

ReplyDeleteI don't even own a credit card. I have a debit card connected to my bank, but no money, no card access... That way, no debt! I also started making some presents this year, which made buying stuff that bit cheaper, because I made the gifts throughout the year, and had at least one less thing to buy for each person.
