A Blue Moon for New Year's Eve

A blue moon - the second full moon in a month - occurs once every 2.5 years, but only falls on New Year's Eve every 19 years. So in between your make-out sessions tonight, make sure to take a peek at the sky...and then go right back to sucking face.

    Wow, I didn't know it was going to be a blue moon tonight. That's cool. I'll try to check it out. Not that I'll be "making out," I might be sleeping - lol.

    Argh! It's snowy here! *rages at the sky*

    It's also the closest the moon will come to Earth in many years, so if you do have a clear sky, you can see all the lunar seas and craters just perfect.

    With all the rain we had last night it wouldn't have been clear enough to see the moon here (it's morning here now... I think it's nearly 8:00 am, but not sure and can't be bothered to check... LOL!)

    Last night my friend's hubby told us to look at the sky - that it was a blue moon. Patti looked at the moon and said "it doesn't look blue to me".... It was pretty though lol.

    I'm so past sucking face. This cold I have doesn't help matter any, though. Happy New Year!

    Yup, missed it myself. But I wasn't sucking face, just playing board games. I didn't even get a new year's kiss....first missed one in the last 8 years, I think. I just didn't feel like kissing him....he'd pissed me off earlier that night. I kissed my boy instead. :)
