Thrush

I loved the last line in Gabriel Bisset-Smith's short film below because even though it's now been three years, which feels somewhere in between "so long ago" and "just the other day," I still wonder how you can go from sharing everything with someone to becoming just a name alongside a text message. Time and distance, what a lethal combo. (via Boing, Boing)

  1. For the intense memories - 40 years ago can seem like yesterday... and in about 20 years you will be old enough to know for yourself...

Do you remember anything from grade school? I remember being "honored" with the clap out the erasers at the chalkboard after class when a parent (not mine) came into see the teacher - and while they were standing by the doorway talking, I found a big hypodermic stringe (without the actual needle) and felt compelled to walk up to the teacher and "fake" giving him a shot into his left buttock.

    Oy! the resultant commotion...

  2. I remember PLENTY from grade school. In fact, a couple months ago someone created a Facebook group for our elementary school class so whatever did slip through the cracks of my memory came rushing right back.
