Last December it was a blue moon and this year it was a lunar eclipse on the winter solstice. And did I catch any of them? Nope! (*womp, womp*) But luckily there are plenty of stunning photos that captured the magic. Did any of you catch the show last night?
UPDATE: Catch the four-hour spectacle squished into this two-minute video. Ethereal music included.

Love the pictures. Awesome. I didn't wake up to see it, but I wanted to!
ReplyDeleteI was out of the loop! At least there are pics!
ReplyDeleteIt stopped snowing just long enough to rain over here....either way, cloudy skies and we missed it!!! Majorly bummed.....
ReplyDeleteIt was all rainy and wintery here. No lunar eclipse for the west coast. Boo.
ReplyDeleteCool beans - thanks for sharing the pictures and vid. I think I was actually awake at the time (and old fart like me takes potty breaks all night long) but didn't look out the window.
ReplyDeleteI didn't wake up to see it, but on the way to work that early morning, the moon is especially big and round.
